CIRCLE OF SNOWMEN WOOL FELT CANDLE MAT: Eight, wool capped, snowmen ring this hand stitch mat. All you need to bring to class is a pair of small scissors. An easy, one night project and a great way to learn some hand stitches. Beginners welcomed. “Valentine Heart” Crazy Quilt Banner: My original design Valentine Heart quilt banner (approx. finish size 20 x 20 in.) will introduce students to the art of common hand embroidery finishing stitches fund in crazy quilts- or use your sewing machine decorative stitches instead. Lace trim at the base of the banner and embellishments add a special touch, so this is a good time to rummage through your inherited treasure chest for special additions! HEARTS AND PINWHEELS QUILT: All we need is love, and maybe a little quilt. Using minimal amounts of fabric, sew this small hearts wall hanging in colors of your choice just in time for Valentine’s Day. HEART POCKET BASKET: This is a very unique heart shaped basket, with red accents. It will look great hanging on a door or wall for Valentine’s Day and the whole year. It also forms a pocket at the end of weaving that can be used to hold your Valentine cards or fill with greenery. KUMIHIMO BRACELET: Kumihimo is Japanese for “gathering threads”. This bracelet will be woven on a foam disc called a marudai. Because you are doing the weaving your bracelet will fit perfectly to your wrist. The bracelet is woven with black and silver cording and has a large whole bead that slips over the braid and is centered on the top of your wrist. MORROCAN TOTE: Crochet cotton tote with leather handles. This 14-x12 inch tote uses Tunisian crochet to create a small grid base to cross-stitch a Moroccan design. First class is starting the crochet tote, which you will complete at home before the next class. The second class is cross stitching your design and making your lining. Third class is putting tote together and adding leather handles and closure. ITTY BITTY PENNY RUG: This miniature rug is made from a variety of wool scraps matted onto a flannel background then mounted in a wooden frame. You can display this primitive piece on the wall or a table. All supplies included, just bring a pair of scissors.
