Fall 2018

CHARITY SEWING:  We will be making Portacath pillows for the September/October charity sewing sessions.  A Portacath pillow is a small pillow filled with fiber fill.  The completed pillow is attached to the seatbelt of a car with Velcro and will give extra padding around the Portacath site of breast cancer patients who are receiving chemotherapy. Once completed, they will be donated to Woman and Infants Breast Cancer facility and given to patients receiving chemotherapy. This is a great project to use up some of the scraps from your fabric stash, but we will have some on hand.                                                       Wednesday, September 5th    2:30 – 5:30 & Thursday October 18th 6:30 – 9:30         Brenda Paquin, Instructor

PUMPKIN TABLE RUNNER:  This seasonal table runner has Log Cabin center blocks then ends are applique pumpkin scenes.  The applique can be wool or cotton, your choice.  Log cabin blocks are in neutrals and fall colors, red, green orange, black and brown.  16 ½ x 40 ½ inches. You can use scraps for the log cabin, the strips are 1 inch wide so it does not require a lot of fabric of each color. If you choose to do only the applique section, all you would need is the neutral fabric and the applique fabrics.                                               Reg. fee $21.00                                                                                                                            Thursday, September 6th, 20th & 27th   6:30 – 10:00                                                            Patty Kelly-Flis, Instructor
